Because a trip to Phuket is all about relaxing, I spent weeks agonizing over where to stay.
Should I stick to the famous resorts on the main island?
Or venture out to Phi Phi Island?
After nearly two weeks of research, I finally found the perfect spot.
Located on Coconut Island,
just a quick 15-minute boat ride from Phuket's main island:

Imagine massive swimming pools with ocean views,
a resort that feels like one giant nature trail, and plenty of activities.
The best part? It's an incredible value at around ~$77 a night!
It's still somewhat of a hidden gem and hasn't been overrun by tourists yet,
so there weren't many reviews available.
But given the amazing price and amenities, I decided to book a 2-night stay to experience it myself.
1. How to Book This Phuket Resort for Less

I used Traveloka for my booking,
which has become my go-to app for Southeast Asia travel.

✔️ Pro Tip: Because they often have direct contracts with properties,
their rates can actually beat
the major aggregator sites.
For Island Escape by Burasari,
I found rates dropping to the
low ~$77 range, and that includes breakfast for two!

If you're new to Traveloka,
you can stack a discount code on top of that for even more savings!
App Code: 3HRSN
Desktop Code: 3HRSNWEB
Just enter the code in the promo box
before hitting [Search] on the app or desktop,
and the coupon will be added to your account.

The coupon applies automatically at checkout,
but to be absolutely sure,
look for the green checkmark ✅ next to the coupon!

2. Arriving & Checking In at Coconut Island

Since the resort is on Coconut Island,
about a 15-minute trip from the mainland,
you'll need to take a boat to get there.
The best part? The resort provides this transfer service.
It was a huge selling point for me when deciding where to stay.

You have two transfer options:
1) A speedboat from Boat Lagoon
2) A traditional longtail boat from Laem Hin Pier

They operate on different schedules,
so you can pick whichever aligns best
with your arrival time.
I highly recommend taking the speedboat for your initial check-in,
and then using the longtail boat later on
when you want to travel back and forth to the mainland!
✔️ The speedboat is larger and more stable for luggage.
✔️ There's a grocery store right next to the speedboat departure point,
perfect for stocking up on snacks and drinks before heading to the island!

Having tried both,
the longtail boat feels like a scenic tour,
while the speedboat is all about efficiency and comfort.

(TIP) If you catch the longtail boat around sunset,
the views are incredibly peaceful.
Because there are only two resorts on Coconut Island,
the entire experience feels wonderfully private and exclusive. 🏖️

Enjoying the ride to Coconut Island~~~~

Once you dock, a complimentary buggy is waiting to whisk you away.
You can also call for a buggy anytime
you need a lift back to the pier.

We sipped our welcome drinks while checking in,
and the staff walked us through
the resort's amenities...
The property is so expansive and packed with facilities
that we decided to drop our bags and go exploring! haha.
Originally, we planned to take a day trip
to Phi Phi during our 2-night stay,
but quickly realized there was more than enough to keep us entertained right here.
3. Inside the Lagoon Villa

On the way to our room,
we passed by the Pool Access Villas.
These look absolutely perfect
for families traveling with kids.

And here is our room!
While we planned on swimming every day,
our main goal was quiet relaxation,
which is why we opted for the Lagoon Villa.

Walking in, the AC was wonderfully crisp,
and we were immediately greeted by lush, panoramic green views
through the massive windows.

The bed is positioned right in the center of the room, facing outward.

This is the view you wake up to!
True to its name, the Lagoon Villas are standalone units
dotted along the water. The layout is brilliant—
you can't see into any neighboring villas, offering total privacy.

The terrace has a comfy sofa and table,
making it a great spot to dive into a good book.
Hitting the button to open the electronic curtains in the morning,
listening to the birds, and taking in the garden view
was pure therapy. 🌿
The interior features warm wood tones that perfectly complement the eco-friendly vibe.

You can dial 0 on the bedside phone
for 24/7 front desk service.
Whether you need a buggy pickup
or have a quick question, they are incredibly helpful.
We called for the buggy so often
that we ended up on a first-name basis with the lobby staff! Haha.

Behind the bed, you'll find the spacious bathroom area featuring a large soaking tub.

The toilet and shower are enclosed
in separate frosted glass rooms on either side of the vanities.
Fittingly for Coconut Island,
all the provided toiletries—shampoo, conditioner, body wash,
and lotion—are coconut-infused.
They smelled fantastic, so we didn't even bother unpacking our own.
The room also comes equipped with a safe, hairdryer,
flip-flops, and plush indoor slippers.
As for the beach towels and minibar,
keep in mind this is a 5-star resort,
so the minibar prices reflect that.
I highly recommend taking my earlier advice
and grabbing snacks at the mainland grocery store before taking the boat over!

This map shows roughly where
our Lagoon Villa was located.
The property is so massive that we actually had to use
Google Maps to find our way around for the first day! ☺️

After checking in, we spent nearly two hours
exploring the three different swimming pools,
the spa, gym, breakfast area, on-site restaurants,
and various activities.
Since this post is getting a bit long, I'll save the deep dive
into the resort's amazing amenities for Part 2.
Stay tuned!
