My favorite YouTuber, Takosama, visited Temecula while in LA, and seeing that video reminded me to write this accommodation review!
To be honest, the more I looked into accommodations at Temecula wineries,
the more expensive they seemed.
But the
Inn at Churon Winery where I stayed was such incredible value for money, especially with breakfast included at this price, that I really wanted to share this review with you!
The day I visited was a bit cloudy.

What is Temecula?
It's about a 1 to 1.5-hour drive from LA. It's a wine region in Southern California, home to over 40 wineries.
While it's not as famous as Napa Valley, that actually means it's less crowded, and it's the perfect distance for a day trip or a 1-night, 2-day getaway from LA.
Hot air balloons float over the vineyards, and there are European-style chateau buildings on every hill. When I brought a friend from Korea there, they were completely surprised, saying, "There's a place like this near LA??" It's like a hidden gem, known only to those in the know.

As you drive up Rancho California Rd, you'll find the entrance amidst the vineyards.
The moment your car turns in, the atmosphere completely changes.
Once you reach the top of the hill, you'll see a grand 40-foot-high lobby. The moment I first saw it, I thought, "Am I really staying here?"
As soon as you enter the lobby, a rich wine aroma greets you, and a marble staircase leads directly to the wine tasting bar.
It felt like my trip had already begun just by checking in.
With only 24 rooms, it's a small boutique hotel, and I absolutely loved how uncrowded and quiet it was.
There's even space for events like weddings,
so my friend and I were like, "Wouldn't it be amazing to have a wedding here!"
We even joked, "You have to come to my wedding here!"
Haha!
It's rare to have bad weather here,
but we just happened to pick a day
with less-than-ideal weather, haha.
And here's the best part, the real key:
If you look up prices for accommodations at Temecula wineries,
you'll see that
places with great views and ambiance
almost always exceed $300-$500 per night.
This place even includes breakfast,
and it's much more reasonable than those!
This is the biggest reason why I highly recommend this accommodation.
Room Review
The moment my friend and I stepped into the room,
we were amazed!
Not only was the room spacious,
but the bathroom was incredibly huge too.
🔥 Fireplace
There's a fireplace inside the room, and it's a real, working one!
At night, my friend and I each had a glass of wine,
and sat in front of the fireplace, chatting.
This ended up being the most memorable
moment of the entire trip.
The atmosphere was incredible.
🛁 Large Spa Bathtub
The bathroom is genuinely huge.
There was a marble spa bathtub
that could fit two people,
and it felt like a real palace.
Why is the bathroom so spacious...?!
🌿 Balcony View
Step out onto the balcony, and the vineyards and Temecula Valley
stretch out before you in a wide-open panorama.
Having coffee out there in the morning, enjoying that view,
is beyond words.
In the early morning, hot air balloons float gracefully by,
adding an even more surreal touch.
In the evening, we planned to sit on the balcony and drink wine,
but the light wasn't working, so we called a staff member.
It couldn't be fixed, so they brought us a bunch of candles instead.
My friend and I suddenly found ourselves forcibly creating a mood.
LOL!
It was actually pretty atmospheric... even better, perhaps!
The interior design has a classic European château vibe.
It's not exactly modern or trendy,
but it actually blends perfectly with the concept of a winery stay.
When you check in,
they also give you a complimentary wine tasting voucher.
There's a wine shop on the first floor,
where you can sample a glass of wine!
I drank a bit too much wine the night before,
so I hesitated whether to use the tasting coupon, but then I thought,
"Drink up! Drink up!"
Breakfast Review
Breakfast is included,
but it's not a buffet; it's a course-order system where you order directly from a menu.
Since it was 'free,' I expected just some bread scraps, but
I was surprised by how high-quality it was!
Who knew breakfast with a vineyard view
could feel so luxurious? 😌
After a hearty breakfast, my day's itinerary
felt so much more relaxed.
That breakfast view... simply amazing
What to Do in Temecula?
Today, I'll briefly share some things you can enjoy
right here in Temecula.
🎈 Hot Air Balloons
When you think of Temecula, hot air balloons immediately come to mind.
The signature experience is a sunrise flight taking off in the early morning!
People say that floating above the vineyards offers a feeling only those who've
experienced it truly understand.
I haven't tried it yet, but after watching Tacosama's video,
I absolutely want to!
California Dreamin' and
A Grape Escape are some popular options.
🍷 Winery Tours & Tastings
With over 40 wineries, you can pick and choose according to your preferences.
The unofficial rule is to visit 2-3 places a day.
If you're going to drink, definitely use a tour bus or
shuttle service! Uber and Lyft were also readily available.
I did a tour at CAVE, the winery where
Tacosama had dinner among the oak barrels
in their video. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and fun,
and I loved being able to sample several different types of wine.
Next time I'm in Temecula,
I definitely
plan to do another winery tour!
🏘️ Old Town Temecula
It's a retro street that feels straight out of the Wild West era.
With cafes, shops, and galleries nestled among the vintage buildings,
it's perfect for a leisurely stroll.
When I visited previously, I booked accommodation near Old Town.
After a winery tour, I came back to my room
and spent the evening hopping between various bars in Old Town,
we had a blast.
🐴 Horseback Riding
Experience riding horses through the vineyards.
They say even beginners can join in!
I didn't even know horseback riding was an option here,
I only found out by watching Takosama's videos.
I definitely need to try horseback riding next time!
🎰 Pechanga Resort & Casino
It's not quite on the level of Las Vegas,
but Temecula does have a casino!
It's a great spot to casually drop by in the evening.
I even went there after a few glasses of wine, grabbing an Uber back and forth.
But unlike Vegas, you can't drink past 2 AM,
which makes it a tad less exciting...

This accommodation only has 24 rooms,
so rooms get booked up incredibly fast.
Especially on weekends and holidays,
if you miss the timing, you won't be able to snag a room.
And the prices vary quite a bit
across different booking sites.
