Hello, fellow adventurers! It's Yungi, your travel influencer!
With the recent heatwave finally breaking, the days have become absolutely perfect. It feels almost wrong to stay home on a beautiful weekend, doesn't it?
So, I decided to escape the bustling city and embark on a relaxing day trip to Icheon, a place bursting with lush greenery and charm.

This trip wasn't about rushing from one spot to another. Instead, it was a leisurely escape, perfect for strolling, unwinding at a gorgeous cafe, and indulging in Icheon's famous delicious rice. It's a truly practical and relaxing itinerary!
The best part? All three locations are conveniently located within a 10-15 minute drive of each other, making the travel seamless and efficient.
📌 Today's Journey in 3 Highlights |
① Stop: Icheon Ceramic Art Village – A charming spot for a delightful walk |
② Stop: Beodeul Sikdang – An excellent Korean restaurant offering great value |
③ Stop: Tea House Eden – A European-inspired greenhouse cafe for picturesque moments |
1. Icheon Ceramic Art Village
Our first destination is the Icheon Ceramic Art Village, a beautiful area where charming pottery workshops and unique architectural gems come together.

From the moment you step in, the wide-open pathways and exquisite workshops immediately capture your attention.

With over 200 workshops, you can easily lose track of time browsing everything from elegant tableware to adorable decorative items. It's a treasure trove!

You might even catch a glimpse of the artists at work, crafting their masterpieces.

You can find cute yogurt bowls or elegant tea sets at surprisingly affordable prices, so make sure to explore as many workshops as you can!

It's truly a delight to browse around!
2. Beodeul Sikdang: Savor Authentic Icheon Rice
After a leisurely stroll through the Icheon Ceramic Art Village, our appetites were ready for a feast! We headed to Beodeul Sikdang, a renowned restaurant famous for its exquisite Korean home-style cooking.

You can't visit Icheon without trying its legendary, glossy rice, right?

From the perfectly prepared side dishes (banchan) – clean, balanced flavors that aren't too overpowering – I knew the main courses would be fantastic. And indeed, the spicy and sweet Jeyuk-bokkeum (stir-fried pork) was incredibly delicious! The price is also very reasonable (Jeyuk-bokkeum: ~$8).

Please note that Jeyuk-bokkeum requires a minimum order of two servings.
💡 Pro Tip for Avoiding Wait Times!
During peak lunch hours on weekends (12:00 PM to 1:30 PM), you might encounter a wait. Even on weekdays, it can get busy! If you want to avoid the queue, I recommend arriving a bit earlier. Also, keep in mind that on Saturdays, they close at 2:00 PM, so plan accordingly!
3. Tea House Eden: A Fairytale Greenhouse Garden Cafe
With our bellies full, we moved on to our next stop for some refreshing coffee and tea, and of course, some Instagram-worthy photos! This was the highlight of our weekend day trip: Tea House Eden cafe!

Located within the expansive Eden Paradise Hotel's theme garden, spanning over 3 acres, you're greeted by an exotic garden right from the entrance.
If the sky is clear and blue, it feels like stepping into a fairytale!

The cafe's interior feels like a lush greenhouse botanical garden, filled with vibrant plants that instantly bring a sense of peace and relaxation.

They offer a wide selection of teas, coffees, and other beverages, so you're sure to find something to your taste.

💡 Photo Zone Hotspot!
For those perfect, dreamy shots, head to the central fountain outside the cafe building or pose in front of the European-inspired structures like the Moon House. You'll capture Instagram-worthy photos that make it look like you've stepped into a secret garden in the English countryside!
