📍 Mudeungsan Sheep Farm

Originally An-yang Farm, Mudeungsan Sheep Farm officially opened to the public as a tourist attraction in 2016, specializing in sheep. The sight of sheep freely grazing across the lush green hills is truly magnificent.

The expansive pastures make for stunning photos, and walking the unpaved trails up and down the hills provides a great workout! With various animal feeding experiences available, it’s a wonderful healing spot that can be enjoyed by everyone, from children to grandparents, making it perfect for a three-generation outing.
Parking at Mudeungsan Sheep Farm

We arrived at Mudeungsan Sheep Farm around 12:40 PM. I was a bit worried about parking since it was a long weekend, but the parking area was spacious and well-organized, with plenty of spots available. That certainly started our visit off on a good note!
Admission & Visitor Tips

After a short walk up the hill from the parking lot, you'll find the ticket booth.

Mudeungsan Sheep Farm Admission Fees (Individual)
Middle School Age & Up (Adult) | ~$5 |
24 Months ~ Elementary School Age | ~$4 |
Under 23 Months | Free |
Ages 65 & Up (Senior) | ~$4 |

Animal feed costs ~$3 per set.
To avoid any squabbles, we bought one set for each child. No sibling rivalry here!

With donkeys, alpacas, mini horses, ostriches, sheep, and rabbits, there's a wide variety of animals to feed, and my kids' eyes absolutely lit up!
📌 Essential Tips Before You Visit!

Restroom Location
The restrooms are located next to the ticket booth. There are no restrooms inside the farm area, so make sure to use the facilities next to the ticket booth before you start your adventure!

Stroller Use
While you can bring a stroller, the farm has many steep slopes and unpaved dirt paths, which make it quite challenging to push a stroller around.
Fairytale Photo Zones & Animal Feeding Fun

As you walk through the grazing fields, you'll discover a fairytale-like European House. This charming structure makes for beautiful photos from any point along the walking trails!

Inside, comfortable sofas invite you to take a break from your walk and enjoy the refreshing scenery.

And don't miss the fantastic Secret Door photo zone waiting for you at the highest point of the farm – it’s a must for capturing those Instagram-worthy shots!

Towards the end of the walking trail, you'll find the Baby Lamb Hay Feeding Area.
Just show your admission ticket to a staff member, and you'll receive one free bowl of hay per person.

Being able to step inside the fence and feed the adorable baby lambs directly was the highlight for my kids!
Just be prepared to watch your step – sheep droppings are part of the authentic farm experience, haha!
Complete Your Drive with Sumalli Coffee!

After feeding the animals with the kids and taking photos amidst the green pastures, a leisurely stroll around Mudeungsan Sheep Farm took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
📍 Sumalli Coffee

While there's a cafe right next to the farm's ticket booth, we decided to drive to Sumalli Coffee, which is only about a 1-minute drive from Mudeungsan Sheep Farm.

Sumalli Coffee was another spot I’d been wanting to visit. It boasts magnificent, expansive views of Mudeungsan Mountain and a lovely garden where kids can freely run around and play.

As expected on a holiday, it was quite busy, but enjoying a cup of coffee amidst such beautiful scenery made for a truly happy time. :)

The combination of Hwasun Mudeungsan Sheep Farm and Sumalli Coffee is highly recommended as a fantastic drive course near Gwangju for families.
On an upcoming weekend or holiday, make sure to visit for a refreshing and healing family outing!
