I visited on October 22nd, 2022, and while the autumn ambiance was certainly present, the fall colors hadn't quite reached their peak, leaving me wishing I'd waited just a little longer.

Some trees were beautifully colored, but others still held their green. I felt that if I had visited just a little later, the scenery would have been even more vibrant.

While the 2026 fall foliage season officially kicks off on October 23rd, based on my 2022 experience, the most breathtaking period is generally expected to be from late October through early November.

Autumn colors vary slightly each year depending on temperature and weather conditions, making it tricky to pinpoint the exact peak date. However, if you're hoping to see Hwadam Forest completely awash in brilliant reds and yellows, prioritize visiting from the last week of October to the first week of November.
