When I was searching for accommodations in Guam, many reviews mentioned that hotels in Guam tend to be older, which initially made me a little worried.
So, finding a hotel in excellent condition was my top priority.
After comparing prices and amenities, Hotel Nikko Guam won me over!
Plus, its prime location right on Gun Beach was a huge bonus.

For a 3-day, 2-night stay in an Oceanfront Room for two adults, we paid around ~$290!
It turned out to be much better than I expected, and I'd definitely consider it again for future trips 😊
Hotel Nikko Guam Location
The hotel is located right on Gun Beach.
You can practically smell the ocean from the lobby – that's how close it is! Haha.
We rented a car for our trip, and I can't recommend it enough for Guam!
While some nearby restaurants are walkable, driving is much more convenient.
We didn't book breakfast at the hotel and instead enjoyed brunch at various spots nearby, which was totally hassle-free thanks to having a car.
It was great to be able to reach restaurants and cafes quickly by car.
Hotel Nikko Guam Lobby
As soon as you step into the lobby, the pool and ocean stretch out before you, completely open and inviting, without any obstructing windows.
My mood instantly lifted the moment I saw it! Lol.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is quite serene.
It's not a bustling, crowded vibe, which made it feel absolutely perfect for a honeymoon getaway.
Other reviews often mention how friendly the staff are.
I also found the check-in process smooth and the staff helpful.
Hotel Nikko Guam Room Condition
Honestly, I was quite worried because I'd heard that all the accommodations in Guam were old.
But once we stepped inside, it was much cleaner than I expected!
We didn't spot a single bug, which was a huge relief! 😊
The amenities provided were L'Occitane.
As we had an Oceanfront Room, the sea was visible right outside our window,
and waking up to that view in the morning was truly wonderful.
I had read reviews mentioning some ants on the balcony side,
but I never saw any, and the room's interior was clean.
The bathroom did have a slightly dated feel, but there were no unpleasant odors or water stains.

If you're staying at Hotel Nikko, you absolutely HAVE to visit the pool!
The waterslide here is absolutely next-level! Haha.
You grab a mat, climb the stairs, and then slide down one by one. The thrill is incredible!
It's quite a thrilling height!
It was so much fun that I rode it countless times! Lol.
One tip: the mats aren't super abundant, so it's smart to wait for people to finish their ride and then quickly grab a mat to head back up.
You can't go down without one!
Beyond the slide, the pool itself blends seamlessly with the ocean view, making it a blissful spot to simply float and relax. 😊
Hotel Nikko Guam Breakfast & BBQ
We didn't opt for the hotel's breakfast or BBQ.
We preferred exploring local restaurants for brunch instead of having breakfast at the hotel.
While there are restaurants near Gun Beach within walking distance,
we chose to drive.
Having a rental car really opens up your dining options.
I truly, strongly recommend renting a car in Guam.
It makes it so much easier to explore beyond the hotel surroundings.
Skipping breakfast and going on a culinary adventure for delicious local eats was much more satisfying for me.
