Home2 Suites by Hilton Times Square Review 2026: Free Breakfast & Suites
Discover why Home2 Suites by Hilton Times Square is the ultimate NYC basecamp. From free daily breakfast to spacious kitchenette suites, read our full 2026 review.

During my recent trip to New York, I spent my first five nights in a cozy local guesthouse,
but for my last three nights, I moved to a hotel right in the heart of Manhattan.
I quickly realized that staying near Times Square
is an absolute game-changer for both convenience and saving your energy!
If you're looking for an unbeatable location that won't break the bank,
here is my full review of the highly recommended Home2 Suites by Hilton.
1. The Unbeatable NYC Location

📌 Why I Chose Home2 Suites by Hilton New York Times Square
✔ Just a 2-minute walk to Times Square
✔ Nearby Attractions: Top of the Rock, MoMA, Broadway
✔ Free breakfast for all guests
Being so close to Times Square meant iconic spots like the M&M's Store
and Hershey's Chocolate World were practically next door.
The TopView bus stop and Broadway theaters are right around the corner,
making it incredibly safe and easy to walk back after a late-night show or night tour.
❗ Best of all, breakfast is free every single day.
Fueling up in the morning before heading out really helped cut down on our food budget.

Every night at 11:57 PM, the billboards in Times Square
sync up to display digital art in an event called "Midnight Moment."
Because our hotel was literally steps away,
we could easily pop out at midnight to catch the show!
The room itself exceeded my expectations too.
Let's dive into the room details below. 😌😌
2. Inside the Queen Studio Suite

I booked their standard room type, the Queen Studio Suite
(Room size is about 258 sq ft).
It features 1 Queen bed and 1 sofa bed,
comfortably accommodating up to 3 adults.

I usually prefer twin rooms,
but here is why I went with the Queen Studio Suite:
The pull-out sofa bed!
You can pull it out to basically act as a second bed,
making it a fantastic setup for three friends traveling together
or parents traveling with kids.
(By the way, the sofa bed mattress is surprisingly comfortable.
I laid down and immediately thought, "Oh, this is nice!" and slept like a baby.
Extra blankets and pillows are stored right in the closet.)

The bathroom has a sleek sliding door,
with a spacious vanity on the left and a walk-in shower on the right.
Because the room fits up to 3 people, housekeeping provided
three sets of fresh towels daily, which I really appreciated! 👍🏻👍🏻
The room was cleaned daily, and the pristine condition
was definitely a highlight of the stay.
Manhattan hotel prices fluctuate wildly
depending on the season and local events.
I snagged this room for ~$230 per night.

Let's keep going with the room tour!
3. Room Amenities & Kitchenette

I was worried the room would feel cramped with the sofa bed out,
but even fully extended,
we had plenty of floor space to open two large 28-inch suitcases.
You just grab the bedding from the closet to make it up.

Across from the beds, you'll find a work desk and a kitchenette!
The desk is on wheels, so you can pull it out
when you need to eat or work, and tuck it away to save space.

Another huge reason I chose Home2 Suites:
✔ The room comes with a microwave and a dishwasher.
Having a microwave was a lifesaver for heating up leftovers
or quick instant meals,
and the electric kettle was perfect for making late-night cup noodles! 👍🏻👍🏻

There's also a proper fridge with a freezer compartment.
We hit up the nearby Target to stock up on Ben & Jerry's ice cream!
The provided dishes and silverware were spotless, too.

I mostly just used the microwave,
but if you bring a travel hot plate,
you could easily do some light cooking here.

Bathroom amenities included bulk-size hand soap,
body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel.
They also provided individually wrapped makeup remover wipes.

A good hair dryer is surprisingly important to me.
It looked a bit dated so I was skeptical, but
the heat and airflow were fantastic!
4. The Complimentary Breakfast

📌 Breakfast Hours: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Every morning, they offer eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage,
along with pastries, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit!
The egg style rotates daily—scrambled one day, omelets the next,
and fried eggs another day.
The potatoes also switch between potato wedges and hash browns.

You can toast a bagel and load it up with Philadelphia cream cheese,
peanut butter, or various jams.
They also have a solid selection of pastries, muffins, and sliced bread.
🍯 Pro Tip: Breakfast is served on the 1st floor AND the basement level.
The basement actually has different bakery items, a waffle maker,
and yogurt, so definitely check out both floors!

Fresh apples, bananas, and oranges are always available.
Drinks include orange juice, apple juice,
hot drip coffee, milk, and flavored syrups!
They provide to-go cups,
so you can easily take your morning coffee with you as you head out to explore.
🍯 Pro Tip: A lot of guests grab bagels, pastries, and fruit
to take back to their rooms.
It's also a great way to pack a quick picnic for Central Park! 👍🏻
Sometimes the staff even walk around handing out fresh donuts.
In a city as expensive as New York, having a hearty, free breakfast was a lifesaver!
**A quick note: I read reviews complaining about slow elevators,
but there are 7 elevators equipped with a smart keycard system
that auto-assigns your car. I rarely felt like I was waiting long!
(Maybe a 3-minute wait max during the 8-9 AM breakfast rush.)
📌 Final Verdict
✔ Unbeatable location just 2 minutes from Times Square.
✔ Perfect for late nights—catch a Broadway show, do some shopping,
and walk back safely.
✔ Amazing value considering the free daily breakfast.
My husband and I were incredibly happy with our stay.
Whenever we plan our next NYC trip,
this will absolutely be the first hotel I look up!
Highly recommended for families, couples, and groups of friends. 👍🏻
