the actual scale is far more impressive than any photo,

and I would have truly regretted missing out on such a view

in Hawaii.

Since we were also on a family trip,

this was something we really considered.

Would it be too intense for kids?

Would two continuous hours of riding be too tiring?

Honestly, when I was booking,

the price was my biggest concern.

For our family of three,

it wasn't a small amount to spend.

However,

if you only think of it as the cost of riding a UTV for a few hours,

it might seem expensive.

But the experience of directly immersing yourself in the unique nature

that can only be found in Hawaii,

and sharing that time with your family,

is truly priceless.

Children aged 5 and above can join in!

Children 17 and under

must ride with a guardian.

Q. Do I have to drive myself?

There's an option for self-driving,

and a Ride-Along option where a guide drives,

so you can compare and choose what best suits your travel style!

Q. Is it difficult to drive?

Before you set off, you'll receive a safety briefing.

However, since it's an off-road activity,

the feeling is quite different from driving on a regular road.

Q. Can drivers swap during the tour?

Yes, it's possible!

However, you must be 21 years or older and

possess a valid driver's license.

Q. Do we ride the UTV for the entire 2 hours?

The tour includes a safety briefing and stops at various scenic points,

so it's not just continuous driving.

Q. What happens if it rains?

Depending on the weather, you might truly encounter (and embrace!) mud and water.

That's why I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty,

rather than clean ones.

Q. Is there time to take photos?

Yes, you'll have plenty of time to get off at key spots

and capture amazing photos.

The scenery at Kualoa Ranch is absolutely breathtaking,

so make sure to take lots of pictures!

Just a heads-up though:

there are no restrooms available in the middle of the tour,

so please use the facilities before you hop on!

Q. Should I book in advance?

We actually couldn't book our preferred time slot because it was so popular,

so we opted for the 12 PM tour.

If you have a specific schedule in mind,

I highly recommend checking the available times and booking ahead.

What to Wear for Kualoa Ranch

Get Ready Like This!

The Kualoa Ranch UTV tour is

much more adventurous than you might expect!

You'll really get to experience

the dust, mud, water, and wind.

The day before, I actually went to an ABC Store

and bought the cheapest,

dark-colored outfit I could find, haha!

Comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty are absolutely the best.

A mask and wet wipes were also incredibly useful,

and if you have other plans after the tour,

I recommend bringing a change of clothes too!

If you could only do ONE activity in Hawaii?

Even if I were to go back

to Hawaii again,

and had to choose just one activity,

I think I would still choose

the Kualoa Ranch UTV tour.

You can enjoy it with kids,

there's the thrill of off-road driving,

and you get to see famous movie filming locations.

But most importantly,

the overwhelming natural beauty

I encountered at Kualoa Ranch

is still vividly etched in my memory.

It was a tour I initially hesitated about because of the price,

but after experiencing it,

I wondered why I ever hesitated! My satisfaction was incredibly high.
