1. Our Top Restaurant Pick Near Yonago's Yokai Village
Most shops in Yokai Village tend to close around 4-5 PM, so we started looking for a nearby restaurant to grab dinner.
When we first researched Hatonova, we were excited about the all-you-can-eat crab, but it wasn't available during our evening visit. It seems to be a lunchtime-only offering, and even then, its availability can vary.

Being right by the coast, it can get quite chilly! I'd recommend dressing in layers or bringing a warm jacket when you visit Yokai Village, especially outside of peak summer.

On the way, we spotted some beautiful marine life. The restaurant itself was about a 10-minute walk from the entrance of Yokai Village. It's a convenient distance if you've parked your car and want a pleasant stroll.
2. Hatonova: Our Recommended Sushi Spot Near Yokai Village
Hatonova turned out to be quite a large restaurant. We walked in, still holding onto our dreams of delicious crab.

Those crabs look absolutely mouth-watering, don't they!!

The interior seemed divided into a crab grilling section and a sushi area, with a ticket system for waiting guests, which is common in popular Japanese restaurants.

Since the all-you-can-eat crab wasn't available during our visit, we opted for the sushi section. Our table was set up just like a typical revolving sushi restaurant.

You could choose from the revolving sushi plates or order specific items. We recommend checking out the options and picking what suits you best. There wasn't an English menu, so having a translation app handy was a lifesaver!

The sushi and crab dining areas were distinctly separated, creating different atmospheres.

The sushi section was quite busy, and after we were seated, the next group had a short wait. It's definitely a popular spot!

The revolving sushi plates had the following price distribution:
We felt the sushi was quite reasonably priced for the quality.

And here's a breakdown of the prices per plate based on color:
- White plate: ~$1
- Blue plate: ~$1
- Yellow plate: ~$2
- Green plate: ~$3
- Red plate: ~$3
We also ordered udon, which helped us feel full without having to eat too many sushi plates.

Green tea and water are available! For cold water, make sure to say "Omizu kudasai!" – it's a handy phrase worth remembering if you prefer your water chilled!

It might not look like a huge amount here, but trust me, we ate quite a bit more!

Being on the coast, the seafood sushi was, as expected, incredibly fresh and delicious! While the absence of the all-you-can-eat crab was a slight disappointment during our visit, if you get the chance to experience it, I highly recommend trying it!
