My main travel destination these days is "Hengdian, China"

Of course, depending on Jingyi's filming schedule,
I sometimes travel to Zhengzhou or Chengdu,
but since there's a lot of filming happening in Hengdian,
I still find myself eagerly heading back to Hengdian every one to two months.
Today, I'm going to share a review of the Hengdian hotel I always stay at.
Actually, I've already introduced this hotel on social media before,
so I know quite a few of you have already booked it
as your accommodation for your China trip.
(It would be a little awkward if we ran into each other, so for now,
I'll alternate between this one and my other favorite accommodations! haha)
Anyway, for those new to Hengdian or still getting the hang of traveling there,
this is truly a place I can recommend,
so I hope you find today's review helpful.
Hampton by Hilton
Stay Period: July 27 - July 30, '26 (3 nights)
Room Type: Cozy Twin Room
Check-in: 3:00pm
Check-out: 12:00pm
Location
No. 18 Shengdong Road, Hengdian Town
📍 Hampton by Hilton Hengdian
No. 18 Shengdong Road, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China, Postal Code: 322118
One of the standout features of the Hampton by Hilton Hengdian, which I'm introducing today,
is its location.
Honestly, there's no more meaningless question than "Which hotel in Hengdian is good?"
Why? Because every filming location is different!

At best, if you're a fan of an established drama actor,
you might want to stay near the hotel where that actor's makeup is done.
But for short-form content actors, their filming locations change daily,
and these aren't always famous places like the Ming and Qing Palace Garden.
(In fact, Jingyi's latest filming location was 20 minutes from the city center...)

That's why Seujjingyi and I usually just stay at a Hilton hotel in Hengdian that's
newly built, tidy, and within walking distance to the bustling downtown area.
Hampton by Hilton Hengdian

As you enter, you'll see a pristine lobby.
The front desk is to the right of the entrance,
and there are usually 1-2 staff members present even late at night,
so checking in was never an issue.
Unfortunately, there aren't any English-speaking staff members,
so if you don't speak Chinese, you'll need to use a translation app or GPT
to briefly translate and complete your check-in.
To be honest, since I stay here every month now...
the staff at the front desk recognize me as soon as I walk in,
and they just proceed with check-in without any extra questions.
(It's nice, but also a little embarrassing haha)
Once check-in is complete, they'll give you a key.
You can take the elevator located behind and to the left of the front desk
to go to your room.

Oh, to the left of the lobby, you'll find plush sofa seating,
and further back, there are plenty of spots where you can use a computer or other devices.
So, if you need to wait, you can comfortably sit here.
Room Condition

I usually book the Cozy Room.
When I'm by myself, I opt for a King bed,
and when I'm with Seujjingyi, I use a Twin bed room.

It's the most basic room type,
but it's quite spacious,
so if you're traveling solo, the Cozy Room is more than enough!
When I visited earlier this year, they even upgraded me to a two-person suite, saying thank you for my repeated visits.
However, it wasn't the kind of lavish suite you might typically expect.

Of course, it was definitely more spacious than the standard room,
but it lacked the typical grandeur one might anticipate from a suite.
You don't really need to spend extra money on a suite~
(You might just end up sleeping there anyway after visiting all the filming locations.......)

Still, the beds and bedding are incredibly clean,
so I get a proper deep sleep every time I visit, and I'm totally satisfied💜

The bathroom is located next to the entrance,
and depending on the room type, the sink is either inside or outside the bathroom.
The sink area is quite spacious, so it's perfect for washing your face,
and there's no problem at all doing your makeup there too.

To one side, there's a shower,
and seriously, the water pressure is amazing!
Having stayed here for over a year now,
I've never once felt stressed about the water pressure
or drainage, so you can definitely put those worries aside.

Amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are
provided in refillable dispensers,
and items like toothbrushes and toothpaste are given at the front desk
when you check in, so make sure to grab them.
(If you're staying for multiple days,
they're restocked daily during room cleaning!)

If you happen to need extra amenities like towels during your stay,
you can just request them via WeChat!
(No Chinese language skills needed!!!)
Once you make a request, a robot will immediately deliver them
right to your door, which is super convenient!!
(The front desk will provide you with their WeChat info when you check in, so make sure to add them!)
Facilities

Usually, if you book through Trip.com,
breakfast is often included,
but honestly, the breakfast isn't particularly delicious.

It's not that it's bad, but it has a specific Chinese aroma that...
I personally couldn't eat much more than I expected,
and mostly stuck to the fruits.
However, it might be perfectly fine for those whose palates it suits,
so if you have an option that includes breakfast,
I'd recommend trying it out for at least one day.
Another facility I highly recommend is
the self-service laundry room located on the 2nd floor.

Hengdian summers are incredibly long and hot.
Because of this, clothes worn for even a single day often end up really
soaked in sweat,
and when you're traveling in China to see actors, you typically
try to pack as light as possible,
which means laundry is often a necessity.
The Hilton hotel has a self-service laundry room on the 2nd floor,
and both the washing machines and dryers are FREE!!
Plus, you don't even need to add detergent separately,
making it super easy to do laundry every day, hehe~
If you're planning a long trip,
definitely take advantage of the convenient laundry room!
Price & Booking
The Hengdian Hilton hotel that I love to stay at
costs around ~$69 per night for a Cozy Room.
Of course, during peak vacation seasons when many people flock there,
the price can go up to ~$90-~$97 per night,
but based on my own experience of booking last minute every time,
I think I usually managed to stay for around ~$83.
When it comes to booking anything for my trips to China,
I always, always use Trip.com.
As expected from a company with its headquarters in China,
not only is there a wider variety of hotels available for booking,
but there are also often more generous numbers of available rooms.

What's more, if you book your flights on Trip.com,
you often get extra discounts on accommodations,
so I recommend booking them together.
To be honest, compared to the prices of standard accommodations in Hengdian,
Hampton by Hilton Hengdian is a high-end hotel.
In fact, when I mentioned I was staying here,
the local Chinese ladies were like, "You're rich!"

Since Hengdian is a place where accommodations for ~$21-35 per night are abundant,
I'd recommend those hotels if you want to save money. However,
if you're like me and Sijing, who prefer to walk to Hei Tie,
and want above-average standards in various aspects like surrounding commercial areas, safety, and room quality,
then Hampton will be an excellent choice.
Overall Rating & Pros and Cons Comparison
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pros
✔ Great location (excellent surrounding commercial area)
✔ High-quality rooms and excellent facilities
✔ Extremely friendly staff
Cons
✔ Higher price compared to other nearby accommodations
✔ Breakfast quality is a bit disappointing
Hengdian has now almost become a second home to me,
and it's a place I'm incredibly fond of.
With the rising popularity of Chinese male celebrities nowadays,
it seems many people are planning trips to Hengdian.
If you're looking for a comfortable Chinese hotel to stay in,
I recommend making a reservation and enjoying a relaxed stay.
