Hagia Sofia Mansions Istanbul Review: Hilton Luxury

When planning our trip to Türkiye, choosing our final stay in Istanbul

was something I spent so much time agonizing over.

Since I was traveling with my parents,

an easily accessible location was an absolute must,

and I really wanted to find a special place where we could

fully immerse ourselves in Istanbul's unique charm.

After a lot of research, I ended up booking

a 5-star Hilton hotel right in the heart of the Old Town.

The interior was so wonderfully antique, luxurious, and unique

that it became one of my absolute favorite hotels ever... 🧡

If you want to experience

Istanbul's history and culture to the fullest,

there is no better place than this.

This hotel is located in the Sultanahmet district,

which is the absolute center of Istanbul's Old Town.

Most of all, major attractions like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque,

and the Basilica Cistern are literally right on your doorstep.

This incredibly convenient, unbeatable location

is definitely its biggest selling point.

You can walk to almost all the main sights.

Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque,

Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), Grand Bazaar, Gülhane Park,

Basilica Cistern, Sultan Ahmed Mosque, and more.

To give you an idea, even the furthest attraction,

the Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar),

is only about a 19-minute walk from the hotel.

When we visited in August 2025, the price

was around ~$256 per night.

While it was a bit on the pricier side,

considering it was the grand finale of our family trip to Türkiye,

a 5-star Curio Collection by Hilton property,

and located so unbelievably close to everything,

it was worth every single penny.

02. Room Tour & Services

Hagia Sofia Suite / Superior Twin Room

Since we were traveling as a family of four,

we booked two rooms for our trip to Istanbul, Türkiye.

We stayed in a Hagia Sofia Suite

and a Superior Twin Room.

Since it's a renovated historic mansion

from the Ottoman Empire era, the interior

was incredibly unique and luxurious.

The mini-bar in the room is paid,

but the welcome fruit and water are completely free.

I ate my weight in fruit during my time in Türkiye...

Seriously, European fruit is on a whole different level! 🍇

Inside the room, you'll find a coffee machine,

electric kettle, wine glasses, and coffee cups.

On our last night of the family trip to Türkiye,

we relaxed and ordered room service at Hagia Sophia Mansions.

At Hagia Sophia Mansions Istanbul, Curio Collection by Hilton,

every single room has a slightly different interior design.

That's honestly part of its charm!

The color schemes differ too, making it incredibly photogenic...

I took a photo sitting on the room's sofa and got an absolute lifetime shot! haha

Best of all, every room is equipped with a private Hammam,

a traditional Turkish bath.

It's connected to the shower area, so you can use them together.

Some rooms also feature a bathtub,

which was perfect for a relaxing soak.

Both the Hagia Sophia Suite and the Superior Twin Room

that my family stayed in had bathtubs.

If there's one downside, it's that due to the nature of the historic building,

there is no elevator.

You might hear a little bit of the outside noise

typical of the Old City,

but it wasn't bothersome at all.

It was quiet enough to get a perfectly good night's sleep.

But the service from the staff was so incredible

that it completely made up for these minor setbacks.

If you ask the staff, they will safely bring

all of your heavy luggage right to your room door.

The hotel grounds are quite spacious,

but you can request a buggy car to get around

inside the property, which was super convenient.

Thanks to their kind and attentive hospitality,

the lack of an elevator didn't feel like a hassle at all.

03. Breakfast Review

We ordered the traditional Turkish breakfast,

and having it outdoors made the experience even more special.

With fresh vegetables, a variety of cheeses, olives,

and freshly baked local breads piled high,

it was an absolute feast.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was so calm and upscale,

making it the perfect setting to enjoy a quiet, intimate breakfast

with my parents.

As expected of a 5-star hotel, both the food quality

and the staff's attentive service

were absolutely flawless.

was hands down the best decision we made.

On top of the luxurious service you'd expect from a Hilton brand,

the traditional beauty and rich history of Turkey

were woven into every corner of the property,

making it my absolute favorite place we stayed during the entire trip..!

Even after returning home, my parents

kept talking about how much they loved it here.

Whether you are family travelers looking to easily walk to main attractions,

or a couple searching for a

romantic vibe for a honeymoon or special anniversary, I highly recommend it!
