I've actually visited a few times already, but...
this is my first time posting about it!

With a fairly spacious parking area right in front of the cafe,
this Yangnim-dong cafe means no worries about parking!
Not only is Yanginjeongwa nearby,
but there's also Penguin Village, Yangnim Bakery, Penguin Village, and more attractions
with plenty of sights to see, things to do, and delicious food to eat.
It's the perfect spot to relax after exploring the neighborhood.
I wondered who Lee Lee Nam was, and it turns out...
he's a media artist representing Gwangju.
Since it's a studio and gallery by a local artist,
and also functions as a cafe,
you can enjoy drinks and desserts
while also immersing yourself in culture.
It's a two-birds-with-one-stone kind of cafe!
Lee Lee Nam Studio: The Vibe
Heads up: My visit wasn't in 2026, just so you know...
The studio and gallery spaces are distinct,
but all are accessible,
making the place quite spacious!
There's also a charming moon jar,
and they sell cute merchandise like postcards and pens.
I really should order, but...
since I took so many photos first,
let's take a look around the studio first!

As expected from a media artist,
the cafe is filled with media art pieces everywhere.

Lee Lee Nam Studio Cafe Menu
Given when I visited the cafe,
I thought there might be a price difference
if I just uploaded the menu board,
so I pulled the menu from Naver~~~
For coffee, you can choose from 3 types of beans,
and the Ditting grinder was such a welcome sight
that I just had to snap a pic,,
With coffee, tea, signature drinks,
ice cream, non-coffee options, and even dessert menus,
the selection was quite diverse.
Now that we've ordered,
we can officially (and guilt-free!)
dive deeper into the gallery and soak it all in!
The atmosphere of this space is truly hard to capture in photos.
The lighting created such an ethereal and dreamlike feeling,
and while the concept might feel a *tad* bit all over the place,
that's also art..

I didn't intend to,
but I accidentally 'fed' the girl an ade ^^;
I ordered milk tea and ade,
and the drinks were pleasant, nothing too special~~

I really like how it has a purple tint.
There are also mid-century inspired furnishings.

Of course, it's over now,
but the exhibition during my visit was
O-neureun.
This place looks perfect for families to come
and spend some quality time.
With photo spots absolutely everywhere,
it'd make for an amazing date course as well!
Got some memories you wish you could forget?
Here, you can write down the ones you want to erase and simply toss them away!
At first, I thought everything here was a static artwork,
but it's actually an interactive exhibition!
And yes, you can even throw away your own memories here.

It was definitely in Jeonbuk.
The piano melody playing was simply lovely to hear.
This space just keeps going and going...!
I can't even begin to imagine how incredibly vast it is,
it's truly beyond comprehension~~
You'll even find KAWS here!
I wonder if these are items from a personal collection on display,
because there are so many figures and antique-like objects everywhere.
(And KAWS... really, KAWS again?!)
Oh, look! It's the Cheong Wa Dae cup, just like the one I have at home!
And just like that, we're nearing the end of our journey through this incredible space!
And then there's the rooftop space,
which would be absolutely perfect once the weather cools down a bit!
I can only imagine how much dedication it takes to maintain
such an expansive gallery!
And with that, my inspiring visit to Lee Lee Nam Studio came to an end.
Gwangju is truly a wonderful city, isn't it?
Near the Asia Culture Center (ACC), you'll discover Ugo Rondinone's stunning artwork,
"Magic Mountain."
It makes you wonder if something so monumental can just be out on the street!
The ACC Magic Mountain is
Ugo Rondinone's first permanent installation
ever showcased in Asia.
This masterpiece was reportedly inspired by
the UNESCO-listed dolmen tombs of Hwasun and Gochang,
and the striking columnar joints of Gwangju's Mudeungsan Mountain.
And just like Namjoon, I found myself deeply moved by Ugo Rondinone's masterpiece.
