Step Into Vietnam: The Cafe's Inviting Atmosphere
As soon as you walk in, the vibrant green interior immediately transports you. With its unique metal decor, vintage tables, and warm lighting, it truly feels distinct from your typical cafe, offering a genuine taste of Vietnamese charm.

The cafe is surprisingly spacious, featuring a variety of seating options from cozy two-person window spots to larger four-person tables. It’s perfect whether you’re enjoying a solo coffee break or catching up with friends after a delicious meal in Dongmyeong-dong.
Exploring the Menu

1) Coconut Smoothie Coffee - ~$5
(Signature, a must-try for your first visit!)
This is THE drink Cong Caphe is famous for! A creamy, sweet, and nutty coconut smoothie topped with rich Vietnamese coffee. It starts smooth and finishes with a pleasant, subtle bitterness. While it’s slightly less sweet than what you might find in Vietnam, it's perfectly adapted for a global palate. If it's your first time, this is the one to order!

2) Double Coconut Smoothie - ~$5
All the delicious coconut goodness, without the coffee! This is a fantastic caffeine-free option, perfect for kids or anyone avoiding caffeine. It’s even thicker and creamier than the Coconut Smoothie Coffee, offering a pure coconut indulgence.
3) Coconut Mung Bean Smoothie ~$5
For something a bit different, try the Coconut Mung Bean Smoothie! Mung bean (known as nokdu in Korea) adds a unique, savory-sweet flavor, similar to a taro drink. If you prefer less sweetness, this might be your new favorite.

4) Coconut Rice Smoothie, Durian Smoothie
Looking for exotic flavors? The Coconut Rice Smoothie and Durian Smoothie are certainly unique options. If you're a fan of durian's distinct aroma, give it a try! Otherwise, sticking with the Coconut Smoothie Coffee or Double Coconut Smoothie is a safe bet for a universally loved taste.
While I didn't get to try them on this visit, I've heard rave reviews about their Banh Mi and Condensed Milk Croissants, so I had to share them with you!

Banh Mi & Condensed Milk Croissant: A Light & Flavorful Bite
Chicken Banh Mi / Beef Banh Mi
Choose between Chicken Banh Mi or Beef Banh Mi. These feature a crispy baguette generously filled with savory meat, tangy pickles, and delicious sauce. If cilantro isn't your thing, simply ask them to omit it when you order. Paired with a drink, it makes for a perfectly satisfying light meal. For the most authentic experience, combine your Banh Mi with a Coconut Smoothie Coffee – it’s just like dining in Vietnam!

Condensed Milk Croissant
The Condensed Milk Croissant is a delightful treat with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior, served with a side of sweet condensed milk for dipping. It pairs wonderfully with any of their coconut beverages.
Global Explorer's Takeaway
While you can't replicate the bustling street scenes and symphony of motorbikes from Hanoi, those ten minutes spent sipping a Coconut Smoothie Coffee in this vibrant green space truly brought back vivid memories of Vietnam. It's an instant mental getaway!

When you're longing for a taste of Vietnam in Gwangju's Dongmyeong-dong, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Cong Caphe Gwangju Dongmyeong Branch.
