Guam Car Rental Guide 2026: Hertz Full Coverage & Baby Travel Tips
Traveling to Guam with a little one? This guide covers everything from Hertz car rental and full coverage insurance to navigating customs with baby milk, ensuring a smooth family vacation.

A 4-night, 5-day Guam Trip with Our Little One
When you're exploring Guam with a baby, having a rental car isn't just a convenience – it's an absolute must! For our family adventure, we opted for a Sportage from Hertz Car Rental. I'm excited to share all our top tips, from airport pickup and car seat details to insurance advice and how we snagged a great discount.
1. Hertz Car Rental Booking & Full Coverage Insurance Tips

Our rental car cost roughly ~$51-58 per day. Traveling with a toddler, we wanted complete peace of mind, so we added full coverage insurance for an extra $10 per day. While basic coverage is available, it typically comes with a $700 deductible in case of an accident. We highly recommend opting for full coverage to avoid any worries!
On the Sunday we picked up our car, there was a Korean-speaking staff member who made the process incredibly smooth and quick, guiding us through all the paperwork and important driving tips. Remember, you absolutely need to bring your physical driver's license; mobile licenses are not accepted, so don't forget it!

While the car's interior wasn't sparkling new, it was perfectly comfortable and clean enough for getting around Guam with our little one, especially considering it's a local rental.
💡 Guam Car Rental Booking Hacks

Booking your Guam rental car in advance through a comparison platform with coupon discounts is generally much more cost-effective than booking directly on arrival or through individual reservations!

2. Guam Customs Check & Baby Milk Entry Tips

While meat and dairy products are generally prohibited when entering Guam, baby milk is an exception. During our customs check, when asked if we had any food, we mentioned the baby milk. They simply asked for our accommodation details and kindly waved us through!

The Guam Electronic Declaration Form (EDF) can be completed online up to 72 hours before your arrival. Filling it out beforehand allows you to bypass the paper customs form, helping you clear immigration quickly – a huge plus for keeping your little one happy and rested!
