For ~$38, learning to make two pastas and a dessert—plus getting a full meal out of it—felt like a total steal.
(Funnily enough, my tour guide the next day mentioned these classes usually run around 70 Euros, so I definitely scored a deal!)
Aside from my friend and me, the class was mostly couples.
It would be a fantastic date night activity or a fun experience for honeymooners!
2. Hands-on Class Experience & Review
Upon arriving, they checked our names, had us wash our hands, and assigned us to our stations.
The kitchen was incredibly clean and well-organized, which I really appreciated.

All the ingredients were pre-measured and set up for us.
Don't worry about trying to memorize every step while you cook!
They send you a digital file with all the recipes at the end of the class.
The staff also takes photos during the process and uploads them to a shared Google Drive.
Of course, you're totally free to snap as many pictures on your own phone as you'd like.

The instruction is in English, and it's very easy to follow along even if you're a beginner in the kitchen.
They started with a brief history of pasta.
I might have zoned out a tiny bit, but the interactive parts were super engaging.
Creating a well in the flour, cracking the egg, and kneading the dough by hand was incredibly satisfying.
Doing it right in the birthplace of the Renaissance made it feel extra special!

Now, for my favorite perk: the unlimited wine!
They kept our glasses topped up the entire time, which was a massive bonus.
I stuck to the crisp white wine, but they had a solid red available as well.
By the end of the class, everyone was definitely feeling a bit rosy-cheeked and joyful.
They also laid out snacks like prosciutto and fresh focaccia.
It was the perfect pairing to graze on while we worked.

While our pasta dough was resting, we shifted gears to dessert.
We whipped up the mascarpone cream and soaked the ladyfingers for our tiramisu.
The vibe was fantastic—lively, social, and full of energy.
Even my introverted friend, who usually gets drained in big groups, was laughing and having a blast.

Next, we rolled out our dough evenly and cut it into shape.
We learned that every region in Italy has its own signature pasta shape.
For this class, we focused on classic Tagliatelle and Ravioli.

For the ravioli, we piped in a savory spinach and ricotta filling.
Using the traditional tools to stamp them out was surprisingly fun and therapeutic!
3. Tasting the Pasta & Tiramisu
One thing to note: to save time, the staff actually cooks the pasta for you in the back kitchen.
Some might find this a bit disappointing, but honestly, after all that kneading and wine-drinking, I was relieved to just sit down and be served!

They brought out our creations tossed in rich tomato and creamy cheese sauces.
Was it the most mind-blowing Michelin-star pasta I've ever had? Probably not.
But it was hearty, comforting, and tasted incredibly rewarding knowing we made it from scratch.

While we ate our main course, the instructor assembled the tiramisu using the mascarpone cream we whipped up earlier.

The tiramisu was genuinely fantastic—perfectly balanced and not overly sweet.
After the class, we sent a DM with the phrase "cooking class" to their Instagram, and they sent over the official recipes and a cute certificate of completion!
I guess you can call me a certified pasta and tiramisu master now. ✨

Florence is a very walkable, compact city, so you might find yourself with a free afternoon looking for something off the beaten path.
If you want a memorable, hands-on experience, I highly recommend rolling up your sleeves for a local pasta cooking class! ✨
