I’m Jinnie, and I’m thrilled to share my absolute favorite hotel experience from my recent trip. Seriously, this place exceeded all expectations!

I’m talking about the incredible swimming pools, relaxing saunas, invigorating running paths, and a breakfast spread that will fuel your adventures. You’re going to love it.

I woke up bright and early at 6 AM, debating whether I should go for a jog. But as a dedicated slow runner, how could I *not* experience a run along the Danube River?

So, I quietly slipped out of bed, changed my clothes without waking my husband, and headed out for a jog around Margaret Island.

The Jogging Course

I completed a round trip of about half the island, covering roughly 2.8 miles. I wish I had checked the map beforehand—I would have definitely done a full loop! It felt a bit disappointing to only do half.

A full loop around the island is approximately 3.1 miles.

Next time, I’m absolutely going for the full circuit!

Even in the early morning, many runners were out enjoying the fresh air. Running with views of the Danube River was incredibly refreshing and invigorating.

Pool & Sauna Facilities

Daily 07:00 AM – 09:00 PM

After my run, I enjoyed about 30 minutes of swimming, starting around 7:30 AM, followed by a relaxing sauna session.

Going early in the morning means fewer people, so you can enjoy swimming laps comfortably without feeling crowded.

Next to the sauna, there’s a small cold plunge pool. It was incredibly refreshing and left my skin feeling wonderfully soft. It was my first time trying something like that, and I absolutely loved it!

Breakfast at Platan Restaurant

Operating Hours:

Daily 07:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Location: Platan Restaurant

They check your room number at the restaurant entrance.

You can request fried or scrambled eggs, but be prepared for a bit of a wait!

After my refreshing swim, I quickly showered and changed, then headed straight to breakfast.

Having stayed at several hotels in Budapest, I can confidently say that the breakfast here offered incredible value for the price. It was truly satisfying!

The selection was quite extensive, and even arriving a bit later after my swim, the food was plentiful and the area was impeccably clean. It was a truly comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.

Yes! I absolutely would go back, and I want to go back! This was genuinely the most active and fulfilling "staycation" I've ever had.

My morning routine was perfect: a run, followed by a swim and sauna, a quick shower, and then a delicious breakfast. I packed so much wellness into my morning before checking out.

And let me tell you, I slept like a baby that night!
