do I really need to book a separate tour?
However, after experiencing the early morning drive to Diamond Head by rental car myself,
I realized that for my next visit, booking a tour would be absolutely essential.
Today, I'm sharing my real-world reasons why a tour is the way to go.
To catch the sunrise, you need to arrive around 5:00-6:00 AM, but the real challenge was parking.
The Diamond Head parking lot has limited spaces, and it fills up quickly if you're even a few minutes late...!!!
We wasted so much time searching for a spot that we nearly missed the sunrise altogether.
Plus, navigating unfamiliar roads in the dark early morning was quite stressful.
Sunrise is a fleeting moment; just a few minutes of delay, and you miss the breathtaking spectacle.
Almost losing that short window due to parking issues was a pretty harrowing experience.
