Miniso is often thought of as China's answer to a discount variety store like Daiso, but it's so much more! This popular brand, found all across China, offers a fantastic array of products, from everyday essentials to adorable character merchandise. During my recent trip, I popped into the Miniso located in Dalian's Pavilion Mall, and I'm excited to share my finds and recommendations with you!

You'll find Miniso conveniently located on Basement 1 (B1) of Pavilion Mall.

As you might expect for a store in a bustling Dalian shopping complex, Miniso was quite crowded when I visited. It's a hotspot for both tourists and locals!
💡 If you prefer a more relaxed shopping experience, I highly recommend visiting right when the mall opens or during a weekday!
Miniso Dalian Souvenir Recommendations
Miniso is famous for its incredible range of character merchandise, often collaborating with beloved brands like Disney, Sanrio, and more. You'll find tons of unique collaboration items here!
Right at the entrance, I spotted these adorable SpongeBob keyrings. They were surprisingly high-quality for the price, and the characters were just too cute to resist!

There were also plenty of Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) items, which have been super popular lately! Beyond Grogu, you could find a good selection of other Star Wars-themed merchandise.

I've been a huge Grogu fan recently, and I seriously debated getting that plush. But alas, I have too many plushies at home, so I managed to resist!🥹🥹
For all you beauty enthusiasts out there, Miniso's makeup puffs are quite famous! And guess what? They had a super cute Sanrio collaboration going on.

At such budget-friendly prices, these would make fantastic little gifts for any makeup-loving friends back home!
While I couldn't capture every item, Miniso offers far more than just character goods. You'll find kitchenware, cosmetics, bathroom essentials, apparel, accessories, and a whole host of other items. It's almost like a fusion of a Western-style beauty store and a Japanese dollar store!
I also spotted incredibly cute Crayon Shin-chan and Snoopy collaboration merchandise. Seriously, everything was adorable!
Miniso has numerous branches, not just in Dalian but across all of China, so it's definitely worth a visit if you come across one! Many of their products are very affordable, making them perfect for picking up unique souvenirs or gifts.
Just a heads-up: it can get quite busy, and I even had to wait in a long line to check out. So, if you're hoping for a more leisurely browse, my advice is to visit when the store first opens or on a weekday.
