Dalian Hotel Pick: Our 4-Person Family Trip to Mehood Lestie Had the Best Location!
With visa-free entry to China now open,
it seems like everyone's heading to Dalian, right?!
Well, I recently ventured there myself on a 4-person family trip
with my grandma, mom, and younger sister!
Traveling with multiple generations meant a big decision:
should we book two separate rooms,
or opt for one spacious family suite?
That's when I discovered Mehood Lestie (also known as Meihao Liz Hotel),
a place with two separate bedrooms and a living room.
The rooms were incredibly spacious, and the surrounding area had everything we needed,
making our stay super comfortable for the whole family!
Today, I'll share my top Dalian hotel recommendation, covering everything
from the room layout I personally experienced, to pricing, booking tips, and location perks! :)

1. Why We Chose This Accommodation for Our 4-Person Family Trip
When searching for accommodation for our Dalian family adventure,
my biggest consideration wasn't just the hotel's star rating, but
how our family of four would comfortably share the space.
Dalian has some great 5-star options like Novotel and Intercontinental at surprisingly reasonable prices,
so initially, I even thought about booking two separate rooms!
But most rooms are designed for two, which meant our family would naturally be split up.
Plus, there wouldn't be a proper shared space for all four of us to relax and spend time together.
We really wanted a common space where, after a day of exploring,
we could all gather, spread out some delicious local delivery, and chat together,
instead of heading straight to separate rooms!
That's when we stumbled upon
Mehood Lestie's (Meihao Liz Hotel) family room, boasting two separate bedrooms AND a dedicated living room!
It was the perfect setup for our family: everyone had their own comfortable space to retreat to at night,
and we could all gather in the living room for evening conversations and fun! :)
Ultimately, it was a win-win: we saved money compared to booking two separate rooms,
and we truly got to soak in the perfect family trip vibe. Highly recommend!

Just a heads-up, they let me check in right around 10:30 AM!
Even if immediate check-in isn't possible, they'll happily store your luggage for you, so no worries at all! ~,~
The room I booked was a family room, suitable for 4 people.
I compared several booking sites, and guess what?
Trip.com offered the absolute best price for our stay!

The standard price for a family room is
for 2 nights from September to November 2026
approximately ~$197 - ~$219.
Considering the room size and location, it offers excellent value for money!
And when we checked in,
we were upgraded to a much larger room
than the one we originally booked!
In the special requests section of our Trip.com booking,
we mentioned it was a family trip to celebrate Grandma's birthday,
though I'm not entirely sure if that was the reason.
3. Family Room with 2 Bedrooms and a Living Room
The photos below are of the room we were upgraded to at check-in,
not the standard family room!!

Since it wasn't a room type available on the booking site,
we couldn't find the exact room name,
but it featured two bedrooms with king-size beds,
and the central living room was much larger than we expected!
It felt more like a spacious apartment than a hotel,
and our whole family was surprised when we first walked in, haha!
When you enter through the front door, you're greeted by a wide living room,
with a bedroom separated on each side.
Each bedroom had a king-size bed,
which was plenty for four people to sleep comfortably, two in each,
and there was ample space for everyone to organize their belongings!
In the evenings, we all gathered here,
enjoying takeout and conversations,
making the spacious living room particularly delightful :)
Each bedroom and the living room had separate air conditioning and heating units,
allowing us to adjust the temperature to our liking in each space.
While reviews sometimes mention a cigarette smell in Chinese hotels,
our room had no unpleasant odors,
and we could open the windows for ventilation, which kept it fresh and comfortable.
The bathroom was also spacious and spotless,
and it came fully equipped with basic amenities,
including shampoo and body wash,
toothbrushes, razors, cotton swabs, and shower caps!
Indoor slippers, bottled water, and light snacks were provided,
and there was also a small refrigerator!
However, its cooling performance wasn't the best,
so for items that need careful storage, like Holiland cakes,
I recommend buying them on your last day of the trip if possible!
For your information, the power outlets didn't require a separate travel adapter,
allowing us to use our chargers from Korea directly,
which made charging our phones very convenient.
4. Hotel Facilities and Nearby Conveniences
Although the staff didn't speak English or Korean,
they were incredibly helpful, assisting us with translation apps!
They even personally entered the delivery app address for us,
and we could request bottled water or other necessities via WeChat,
so not speaking Chinese wasn't a major inconvenience at all!
For food deliveries, a robot brought our orders right to our room,
It was so convenient to use, even late at night! Haha.
On the hotel's 11th floor, you'll find a small gym and a breakfast restaurant.
The gym was perfectly sized for a quick workout,
and we didn't try the breakfast, but we did peek inside!
Right next door (and I mean, *literally* right in front!) you'll find a lively night market and a shopping mall,
and popular spots like Holy Land and Zha Ji Tea, plus many famous local restaurants, are all close by.
This means you can easily get your fill of delicious food and enjoy some shopping
without having to venture far – a huge perk of this hotel!!
5. Final Verdict
If you're exploring Dalian with family or friends
and looking for a place for four to stay,
I wholeheartedly recommend the Meihao Lizhi Hotel!
From its fantastic location and comfortable room conditions to its incredible value for money,
this is a place our whole family absolutely loved.
