For my recent trip to Dalian, I chose China Southern Airlines for a round-trip journey from Incheon to Dalian.

I flew on flight CZ696 for the outbound leg and CZ675 for the return.

The flight time to Dalian is quite short, making the experience surprisingly smooth and straightforward.

I've compiled the key details focusing on the seating, in-flight meals, and baggage allowance based on my personal experience.

1. CZ696, CZ675 Incheon-Dalian Round Trip

The flights I used were:

Incheon → Dalian: CZ696

Dalian → Incheon: CZ675

I boarded from Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport. Dalian is relatively close to South Korea, so the flight duration is short.

You don't need to prepare for a long-haul flight; you arrive quickly, making it a perfect destination for a quick 2-night, 3-day getaway without any hassle.

2. Seating: A Bit Cramped, Honestly

The seating arrangement was 3-3.

To be frank, the seat pitch wasn't particularly generous.

Since the flight time was short, it didn't bother me too much, but taller passengers or those with a larger build might find it a bit constricting.

However, given that Incheon-Dalian is a short-haul route, I personally found it perfectly acceptable.

3. In-flight Meals Even on a Short Flight!

I wasn't expecting an in-flight meal since Dalian is so close, but a simple meal was provided.

Because the flight duration itself is brief, it’s more for a quick bite to eat rather than a leisurely dining experience.

Personally, I appreciated that they offered a meal even on such a short international route.

However, the sausage that came with it felt a bit dry, which was a minor disappointment.

4. China Southern Airlines Baggage Policy

I looked into the baggage allowance quite a bit before my trip.

According to China Southern Airlines' official regulations, for international flights between South Korea and mainland China, the standard economy fare allows for two checked bags, each up to 50 lbs (23kg).

For carry-on baggage, economy class is allowed one piece, with a maximum weight of 18 lbs (8kg).

However, the free baggage allowance can vary depending on the fare you purchased, so always double-check your specific ticket.

Our trip was a 2-night, 3-day journey departing in the afternoon, so we didn't have much luggage. We opted to only bring carry-on suitcases without any checked baggage.

For a short trip to Dalian, I personally found that a carry-on suitcase was more than enough.

5. My China Southern Airlines Flight Experience

Overall, China Southern Airlines was a perfectly fine choice for my trip.

Especially since the flight duration to Dalian is so short, the slightly cramped seating wasn't a major issue.

There were also charging ports available at the seats, which was convenient for keeping my phone powered up.
