Today, I'm sharing my review of

Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, a highly recommended 'hocance' hotel in Cebu!

When I went to Cebu, I definitely planned for one day to be a luxurious hotel stay, so I booked a night at an

infinity pool accommodation connected to the sea.

My friend who came with me said she would have regretted it so much if we hadn't gone... lol

It's really great to stay at a 5-star hotel for at least one night,

and among them, I highly recommend Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu ꔛ

1. Hotels in Cebu

In Cebu, the area where tour pickups happen, Lapu-Lapu, is considered the city center.

But as you know, there are many motorbikes,

and it can be quite noisy with horns.

So, if you're looking for a 5-star 'hocance' hotel, it's better to choose one a bit further away from the city center.

That's why I chose a Cebu 'hocance' accommodation based on these conditions!

✔️ Spacious swimming pool + Delicious breakfast

Actually, since my plan was to finish all the tours in the city

and then go for a genuine one-night 'hocance', distance wasn't a major factor.

- 18 minutes by taxi from Mactan Airport

- 25 minutes by taxi from Mactan City Center

I actually considered Shangri-La Mactan,

but it opened in 1993, making it a bit older than Dusit Thani, and the price was higher, so I cleanly gave it up, haha.

2. Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu

The reason I looked up reviews when booking Dusit Thani Cebu was

to see if it was worth the price!

But everyone seemed so satisfied with the accommodation that I booked it with confidence.

In fact, I would have been so disappointed if I hadn't booked it .ᐟ.ᐟ

Based on a weekend in October, Agoda and HotelsCombined were cheaper.

Booking through Trip.com means you'd be paying more for the same accommodation,

so make sure to compare the two and get the lowest price!

In my case, I provisionally booked with Agoda, which offers free cancellation.

It's obvious prices will go up over time... lol

3. Deluxe Room Review

Dusit Thani Cebu has a lobby with a sea view right from the entrance,

giving you a wide-open, refreshing feeling.

So whether you're heading to the pool or going for breakfast,

you'll always be greeted by the stunning blue ocean 🐳.

The room we stayed in was a Deluxe Room!

It's the perfect room for a trip with two friends.

Another great thing about Dusit Thani is that

it's a very family-friendly hotel!

🐥 One child under 12 years old can stay

free of charge, with no extra fees.

They also had two-bedroom options with two separate bedrooms.

Plus, there were more than three mirrors in the room,

making it super convenient to get ready without bumping into each other!

Since it's Southeast Asia, I was quite worried about the bathrooms and hygiene,

but they had shampoo, body wash, and even conditioner,

and the quality was great and everything was so clean, so using the hotel's amenities was perfectly fine ⎝⍢⎠.

The power outlets are the same as in Korea,

so you don't need to bring a separate voltage converter ദ്ദി,,-`_´-)੭.

Watching the sunset with a beer in the evening,

that's how you complete your perfect hotel getaway〰!

4. The Pool

The pool at Dusit Thani Cebu Mactan is

an infinity pool with an ocean view.

Since it's a pool that connects to the sea, you can enjoy both the pool & the ocean,

and taking a stroll along the seaside path is totally possible.

At the main pool, they even have dancing events,

and further inside, there's a private-feeling pool with a shaded area,

perfect for kids to play in.

In the evening, if you walk along the seaside path that connects to the ocean,

you can stroll around feeling like you have the whole place to yourself, and the ambiance is just fantastic ദ്ദി,,-`_´-).

5. Breakfast

For breakfast, there are seats with a sea view

and outdoor seating, too,

but we opted for a cool indoor spot!

When we first sat down, they took our drink order,

so I ordered an iced latte.

The fruit and yogurt corners had such a wide variety,

and I tried almost everything!

The Japanese corner was quite similar to Korean tastes, which means

it tasted even better than I expected, no joke! Haha!

Honestly, I was a bit let down by the food scene in Cebu generally...

but this buffet was an absolute, unexpected culinary gem!

DIY omelets were also available,

so you could order them with a variety of cheeses, bacon, and more.

As a true bread lover, I can confirm this place serves up amazing bread

that paired perfectly with my latte.

Honestly, even just for the bread, I considered the buffet a total success!

Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort is a definite must-visit in Cebu

for anyone seeking a beautiful pool staycation experience!

Located right by the sea, it offers guests exclusive access

to private relaxation, making its concept crystal clear.

If staying multiple nights feels like too much, I highly recommend trying it for at least one night.
