[Buyeo Town Center Edition]

Aim to arrive in Buyeo around 11 AM for a relaxed start.

Even with a leisurely start, Buyeo offers ample time to explore.

For a slightly early lunch,

pack some gimbap

and take it to Jeongnimsa Temple Site to enjoy.

📍A-ri Gimbap

It's near the bus terminal

and they serve it with refreshing cold cucumber soup and shredded radish!

The gimbap rolls are plump and generous, so you'll definitely be full!

📍Pyogo Mushroom Farmer's Gimbap

It's near Jeongnimsa Temple Site.

Definitely try their Spicy Mushroom Gimbap – it's incredibly tasty!

Choose whichever spot calls to you most.

Find a quiet spot to sit,

take in the majestic Jeongnimsa Temple Site Five-Story Stone Pagoda, and savor your gimbap.

I find simply gazing at Jeongnimsa Temple Site brings such peace to my soul.

This pagoda is truly a signature landmark of Buyeo.

Remarkably, it's stood for 1,500 years without a single repair or renovation.

It's a testament to its incredibly robust and sturdy construction.

From a distance, it might not seem immense,

but as you approach, its impressive scale becomes apparent.

What's more, the pagoda's form exudes a gentle, flowing elegance.

After your meal, if you have some time,

be sure to check out the Buddha statue wearing a hat in the building behind!

It's just a pleasant 15-minute walk from Jeongnimsa Temple Site to Gungnamji Pond.

Gungnamji is a stunning lotus garden!

Take a leisurely stroll through Gungnamji.

Honestly, I usually prefer Gungnamji in the morning or evening.

But if you visit during the day,

you'll be treated to views of this beautiful Gungnamji!

Gungnamji is home to many adorable ducks, so be sure to take some time to watch them!

While strolling through Gungnamji,

find a rocking chair and sit for a while.

With some music playing and the Porongjeong Pavilion in view,

it's simply wonderful.

This is the vibe when you visit at sunset!

Summer = Gungnamji Pond

Autumn = Busosanseong Fortress

Summer is when the lotus flowers are in full bloom, making Gungnamji Pond an exceptionally beautiful sight.

Be sure to take a moment to admire the Baekje Gilt-bronze Incense Burner.

If you're a history buff, exploring the main exhibition halls is highly recommended!

The Baekje Gilt-bronze Incense Burner beautifully embodies the philosophy of "Geomibulru Hwaibulchi":

"Frugal yet not shabby,

Splendid yet not extravagant."

This phrase captures the essence of Baekje aesthetics,

and this artifact is a perfect representation of it.

Currently, entry to view the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner is on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is a must-visit spot inside Buyeo Market, famous for its incredible blueberry seolgi (steamed rice cake)!
