Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae, Jeju
An Honest Review of My Favorite Budget Stay

I rarely revisit the same hotel because I absolutely love exploring new accommodations.
For me to book the same place twice,
it has to be nothing short of exceptional.
But Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae?
I stayed here back in June 2025, I'm heading back next week,
and I would rebook it again in a heartbeat.
Averaging around ~$38 per night,
it's an incredibly budget-friendly gem on Jeju's west coast.
Between the unbeatable location, spotless rooms, and nearby dining options,
it truly checks every single box.
It currently boasts a 4.9 rating online,
and after staying there, I totally understand why.
If you're planning a Jeju trip on a budget,
you need to check this place out.

✔ Check-in: 4:00 PM
✔ Check-out: 11:00 AM

Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae operates
on a fully contactless kiosk check-in/out system.
Even a 1-minute delay triggers an extra charge,
so be sure to pack up and leave right on time!

Just like my previous trip,
I booked the Deluxe Double OTT Room.
*Based on the same room and dates (taxes included)
Agoda | ~$77 | |
Trip.com | ~$78 |
I compared a few different booking platforms,
and for my specific dates,
MyRealTrip offered the lowest rate.
During the peak summer season,
rates typically hover around ~$77 per night.
Considering how affordable it usually is,
staying under $80 during the peak summer rush
is an absolute steal, don't you think?!

One of the main reasons I chose
Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae is its unbeatable location.
If your Jeju hotel is in the middle of nowhere,
you're forced to drive everywhere,
which gets super inconvenient.
Especially at dinner when you want to grab a beer,
you always have to stress over finding a taxi or a designated driver.
That's why I always look for places
with great restaurants within walking distance.
Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae has some
incredible foodie spots just a 5-minute walk away.

Jongmun (Budget-friendly Omakase)
Myeongrang Snack (Spicy Rice Cakes/Tteokbokki)
Childonga (Jeju Black Pork)
Badanggil (Bomal Noodle Soup)
I've personally eaten at all four spots,
and they are all absolutely legit!
I highly recommend Jongmun!
I'm definitely going back there on this trip.

Plus, major attractions like Hyeopjae Beach,
Panpo Port, and Geum Oreum are just a
10 to 15-minute drive (about 3-5 miles) away.

It has a cozy boutique hotel vibe,
feeling very quiet and relaxing.
Since check-in is handled via a kiosk,
early check-in isn't an option even if you arrive ahead of schedule.
The lobby features
a sofa, microwave, PC, and an amenity vending machine,
along with a dedicated space to store your luggage.

If you're expecting an ultra-aesthetic, Instagram-worthy room, you might be disappointed.
But if you want a comfortable, spotless place to shower and sleep,
you will be incredibly satisfied with the room condition.
The room was much more spacious than I expected
and impeccably clean in every corner.
A huge bonus: no carpets! Hardwood floors are the best.

Because it's an OTT room, the TV was massive.
It also had a small dining table perfect for late-night snacks
and a vanity desk—a highly practical layout.
There are two chairs for the table and two for the vanity,
plus two hairdryers (one at the vanity and one in the bathroom).
It might lack trendy aesthetics,
but it feels as comfortable as your own bedroom!!
It's a place that truly focuses on practicality.

I'm incredibly picky about bathroom cleanliness,
but there wasn't a single water spot—it was pristine.
(Even the showerhead was spotless! Haha)
Bathroom amenities include
body wash, conditioner, shampoo, toothpaste, and a hairdryer.
Toothbrushes aren't provided, so make sure to pack your own.
The bedding was crisp and fresh,
and the mattress and pillows were so comfortable
that I slept like a baby every night.
Also included: an electric kettle, a mini-fridge (with complimentary water),
and room slippers.

Between the affordable price, practical room layout,
and spacious, clean conditions,
my satisfaction level is 100% when factoring in the value.
I've traveled to Jeju countless times
and stayed at many budget-friendly spots,
but for the perfect combo of cleanliness + practicality,
this is my #1 pick so far. Haha
Another huge advantage
is the variety of room types available,
making it great for couples, friends, or families without strict guest limits.
If I had to point out an honest downside,
there was a slight odor in the underground parking lot ㅠㅠ
It wasn't dirty, just a faint drain-like smell?
Aside from that minor detail,
it's the ultimate practical, budget-friendly stay
that absolutely nails value for money.

If you prioritize value + cleanliness + practicality
over trendy aesthetics for your West Jeju stay,
you will be just as satisfied as I was.
Even during the peak season,
you can book it at a much lower rate than other places,
making it an excellent choice for summer vacations.
However,
because it's not a massive resort,
rooms sell out very quickly.
If you're planning a weekend or peak-season trip,
it's best to book well in advance :)
